BaZi Chart

Enter birth data for a Four Pillars chart. Five-element panel requires sign-in. Energy curves require sign-in. Timing inference requires sign-in; stack stems and branches by year, month, day and hour.

AI read-out

After the chart is cast, the result page has an "AI read-out" with a ready-made prompt for the BaZi chart: the four pillars and ten gods, life phases and annual cycles. Copy the full text and paste it into the LLM platform you usually use, such as ChatGPT, Gemini, or DeepSeek.

What Four Pillars are

This Chinese astrology birth chart calculator assigns one stem and one branch to the year, month, day and hour of birth: eight characters. The framework reads five-element relationships for core strength, structure and favored or disfavored elements.

The year branch is the zodiac animal; see Chinese Zodiac Calculator by birth year.

How the four columns turn

The year column turns at Start of Spring, not lunar new year. The month divides at the twelve jie terms; the day follows the local date; the hour maps to twelve branches.

Solar-term data and True Solar Time correction are built in: a birth city corrects clock time by longitude for term boundaries and midnight births.

What the chart shows

The grid lists stems and branches, hidden stems, Nayin and Symbolic Stars, plus life phases (each decade) and annual cycles against the natal pattern.

The five-element panel (share ring, energy radar, useful and adverse elements) is on the result page and requires sign-in.

Energy curves for life phases, years and months are on the result page and require sign-in.

The timing inference tab lets you pick year, month, day and hour in steps to stack life-phase through hourly stems and branches on the chart—no manual pairing—and requires sign-in.

Unknown hour and reverse lookup

When the hour is unknown, select hour unknown to cast at noon 12:00; the result page steps through all twelve branches.

With four pillars but no moment, BaZi Reverse Lookup lists solar dates and branches carrying that set.

Same chart, many people

Many people share one chart. The grid describes a five-element structure and its climate.

Which year turns which way also depends on the life phase at the time, upbringing and choices.

FAQ

Is giving a birth time risky?

A birth moment on its own points to no one: many people share the same two-hour slot, and the pillars and the chart come out the same for all of them. The information worth protecting is ID numbers, home addresses and passwords.

Where is a chart record stored?

A record holds only the values entered in the form. Its result link rebuilds the same chart from that record; no page lists records: the link is the only way back to it and is not shown elsewhere; to keep it from others, do not share it.

If two people share the same BaZi, is their fate the same?

Not necessarily. BaZi gives only a broad frame. Life Phases and Annual Cycles, birth place and true solar time correction, home and office feng shui, and personal choices all send people with the same chart down different paths. Shared charts are common, which is why BaZi is a reference tool, not a ruling.

Do I need to convert my birth time to Beijing time?

No. Enter the local time of the place where you were born; a city, when given, corrects that clock reading into true solar time by longitude.

Why birth city?

City coordinates support true solar time, reducing hour-pillar errors near solar boundaries.

Can I chart without a birth hour?

Yes. Check “Birth hour unknown” to chart at noon (12:00, Wu). On the result page you can compare all twelve hour pillars. Prefer broad trends when the hour is missing; fine timing needs a verified hour.
