These Terms of Use apply to the charting tools, result pages and site text at fengshui.tools. Accessing or using those services means the terms have been read and accepted. Handling of personal information is governed by the Privacy Policy. Effective date: 13 October 2026.
1. Tool-specific terms
Where a tool page states a more specific rule on calculation method, input range or display, that page supplements these terms and the rest of these terms still apply.
2. Nature of the service
The tools at fengshui.tools apply widely used calendar conversion and traditional calculation rules to produce charts, tables and readouts for cultural study and personal reference. The output is not medical, financial, investment, legal, career, marital or psychological advice, is not a promise about future events, and is not a judgment of any person. Scores, favorable or unfavorable symbols and direction labels on a result page are outputs of rules applied to the values entered.
3. Permitted use
- Casting from your own data, or from another person's data with that person's clear consent.
- Saving and forwarding a result for teaching, commentary or personal records.
- Reasonable quotation of site text with the source named and linked.
- Citing a calculation rule and stating how it differs from other versions or texts.
4. Prohibited conduct
- Fabricated or stolen birth data used to harass, defame or profit.
- Presenting a result as licensed professional advice, verified fact or a legally binding opinion.
- Selling tool output as a paid reading without naming the source.
- Bulk or automated submission, evading human verification, load-testing, attacking the service or probing credentials.
- Mirroring a whole page or embedding the tools on a third-party site as an independent service (quotation and linking excepted).
- Malicious injection, or any use that breaks applicable law.
5. Results and consistency
The same input values produce the same result; calendar steps can be checked against published tables. Where schools of the rules disagree, each function implements one widely used version, so a difference from another site usually reflects a rule choice rather than a program error. Time zone, true solar time and the day boundary follow the note on each tool page.
6. Intellectual property and data
Layout, explanatory text and statements of calculation rules at fengshui.tools are protected by copyright; reasonable quotation requires naming the source and linking back, while wholesale copying or republishing the rules as original work is not permitted. Data typed into a form remains with whoever supplied it, and no extra right is claimed in the chart generated from it. Third-party names appear only for identification and imply no endorsement or partnership.
7. Disclaimer
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, no express or implied warranty is given that the tools will run without error, remain continuously available, or that a result matches real circumstances. Decisions about health, property, legal compliance or personal safety taken on the basis of a result are at the decider's own risk.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, no liability is accepted for lost profits, lost data, business interruption or other indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising from use or inability to use the tools or from reliance on a result, except where applicable law forbids such a limit.
9. Changes and interruptions
Tools and pages may be changed, withdrawn or temporarily unavailable for maintenance, upgrades or business reasons, without compensation. A chart already submitted is still reproduced from the values recorded at the time, and its result link should still open after a tool is updated.
10. Subscriptions, renewal and refunds
Paid features, if offered, follow the price, term and renewal text shown at checkout. The user may cancel future renewal through the checkout channel. Whether a started billing period is refunded follows the checkout page and the payment provider. Chart parameters are not part of the payment instruction.
11. Revisions, severability and contact
When these terms are revised, the body and the date at the top are updated together; a narrowing of permission or a widening of personal-information collection is summarised in this section. Continued use after a revision counts as acceptance. If one clause is invalid or unenforceable in a place, the others remain in force.
Questions about content permission, wording, a calculation or a rule go through the Contact form. These terms do not name a court or governing law; mandatory consumer-protection and data-protection rules in the user's country of residence or habitual residence are not reduced by these terms.
